Celebrating Achievements

Amman, March 7, 2012: Bustami & Saheb Trading Company, dealers of Nissan & Infiniti in Jordan, held the Annual Employees Dinner to celebrate the company’s achievements in the previous year. The celebration was held last Wednesday in the Sports City and attended by all members of the management team and all employees from all divisions of the company.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Ghassan Bustami, BSTC CEO, praised the efforts of all employees and thanked them on behalf of himself and on behalf of all the management team for their devotion and persistence in achieving the objectives of the company which led to being in the second position among car dealers in Jordan in spite of the fierce competition and all challenges and difficulties whether internal or external.

In his speech, Mr. Ghassan also browsed some, but not all, of the achievements that stood behind the celebration and the feeling of pride and glory of all members of BSTC. Mr. Ghassan highlighted the 1% increase in sales of cars, the outstanding increase in sales of spare parts, the increase in logistic services. He also pointed out the launch of INFINITI cars for the first time in Jordan and the opening of INFINITI center in Wadi Saqra. One of the greatest achievements was the readability of the fully equipped Body & Paint center in Tabarboor which is run by highly qualified and well trained engineers & technicians to provide service to all types of cars, Mr. Ghassan added.

Mr. Ghassan ended his speech by expressing deep gratitude to all company staff and wishing them all the best and prosperity. Finally, he expressed great expectations that everyone will keep the spirit of giving, not only to achieve the company’s objectives, but also to achieve their own.

Amman, Feb 2012: in response to the requirements of social responsibility, Bustami & Saheb Trading Company (BSTC), agents of NISSAN & INFINITI in Jordan, hosted 4 public schools counselors for 3 days in Wadi Saqra Center to attend workshops in Sales, Spare Parts, Marketing, Accounting, IT and Customer Relations Departments of the company. This hosting was within an internship activity for the "School to Career" program which is implemented by Save The Children Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and funded by USAID. The program aims at acquainting the career counselors with the career sectors/opportunities in their local communities and at helping them understand the employability skills needed by the market as a means of establishing the concept of career counseling services in schools.

In his comment on the initiative, Mr. Ghassan Bustami, CEO, assured that BSTC never saves an effort in serving the communities of Jordan and responding to their needs that are expected to develop the skills and improve lifestyles of all Jordanians. Mr. Bustami added that responding to such initiatives is part of BSTC policy that aims to leverage the levels of interaction between the company and the society.

Nissan Jordan Announces Winners of “The Micra Prize Frenzy Contest”

AMMAN, Jordan --- November 2011 --- Bustami & Saheb Trading Company (BSTC), the exclusive dealers of Nissan in Jordan announced the lucky winners of the Micra Prize Frenzy Contest in a special ceremony held at Nissan Mecca Showroom.

The lucky winners of the three brand new Nissan Micras are: Mr. Waseem Mohammad Saleh, a Zain subscriber won the Black Micra, Ms. Ghada Al Qenah, an Orange subscriber won the Orange Micra and Mr. Hussam Haddad, Umniah subscriber won the Lime Micra.

First Solar Charging Station for Electric Cars Inaugurated

AMMAN-----October 20, 2011----- Under the Patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of El Hassan Science City and the Royal Scientific Society, the First Solar Charging Station for Electric Cars was inaugurated on Thursday 20^th of October, in El Hassan Science City. The launch was a joint effort among various sectors such as the public sector represented by the Ministry of Environment and Higher Council for Science and independent bodies represented by El Hassan Science City and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Meanwhile, the private sector was represented by NetEnergy, Nissan Jordan and with support from global companies: AllCell, Sun Phocus from the US and French companies DBT and MATRA.     

During her keynote speech, HRH Princess Sumaya said: " El Hassan Science City is considered as an ideal place to build the first station for clean energy, the City and through its various establishments: the Royal Scientific Society, Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) and El Hassan Business Park and its network of relationships and its unique projects provide a model for the integrated and perfect efforts to turn ideas into working projects which enrich the market with hope and work on creating jobs. "    

HRH Princess Sumaya pointed out the role of the City in developing and refining the skills of creative individuals saying: "NetEnergy is a true example of what can be achieved when creative ideas unite with the desire to innovate and lead. This small company which located its clean technology business at El Hassan Business Park is supported by all establishments under the umbrella of El Hassan Science City and is an example on the potentials of small Jordanian institutions to achieve global success, proving that creativity is not limited to one person but it is the result of the harmonious interaction between the ambitious ideas and the pursuit to achieve them."

Emphasizing on the importance of environmental projects, HRH Princess Sumaya added: "We are aware that Jordan imports approximately 90% of its energy needs, and from here this project is considered the nucleus to build a green Jordan and will work on enhancing the security of the Kingdom in the fields of energy by relying on renewable energy resources, which leads in turn to promoting sustainable economic development."

Meanwhile, HE Eng. Raouf Dabbas Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Environment stressed on the Jordanian government’s keenness to promote and increase investments and projects that conserve natural resources for future generations saying: "The Ministry of Environment's interest in this pilot project stems from two main reasons: to support and develop the green economy and mitigate the effects of climate change, and out of our responsibility and compliance with laws and agreements which call for preservation of environment and reducing negative effects on it. Therefore, the Ministry of Environment is moving forward in assisting all projects and investments that will achieve the objectives of the Ministry in the preservation of the environment."

He also underlined the economic and social benefits and environmental impacts of attracting investors in the green economy such as energy saving and the establishment of factories and companies that create new job opportunities as shown through the implementation of this project.

Mr. Mansoor Hallaj, NetEnergy General Director said: "Our enthusiasm to work with the Jordanian government and hosting us in El Hassan Science City to make Jordan a regional center for the development of clean energy technologies is our main motive to implement our idea in Jordan, the support of the Ministry of Environment, El Hassan Science City, USAID and other companies working with us played a big role in the success of the solar charging station for electric cars."

Mr. Hallaj also thanked NISSAN Jordan for its cooperation by providing Nissan Leaf electric car for scientific experiments.   

Mr. Ghassan Bustami, Nissan Jordan CEO highlighted the importance of partnerships between the public and private sectors in joint projects to build and promote sustainable economic development and protection of the environment saying:"We at Nissan believe in the importance of joint ventures to protect the environment, that is why we have and through our partnership with the Ministry of Environment and NetEnergy provided Nissan Leaf electric car which has Zero-emission for research on new ways to charge electric cars through solar power conducted by NetEnergy in cooperation with our qualified staff."

In addition, there will be a team who will study the possibility of implementing the electric cars project with the Amman Greater Municipality and others from the public and private sectors.  

From his end, Mr. Laith Al-Qasem, Chief of Party USAID the Jordan Economic Program, expressed his enthusiasm towards the project, and the formation of partnerships among the different parties.

After the ceremony, the Nissan Leaf which was charged through solar power was revealed to the guests.

El Hassan Science City was established to be a home for scientific research and its applications for human resource development and conservation, the City hosts under its umbrella several establishments: The Royal Scientific Society, the Princess Sumaya University for Technology and EL Hassan Business Park and aims at building a pioneering leadership role for Jordan within the Middle East.
